Although Respawn have seemingly been very proactive when it comes to issues like hacking, it seems that there are a few persistent problems in Apex Legends which the studio hasn’t yet addressed. Recently, attention was drawn by players to an Apex Legends glitch which allows Wraith players to spawn an infinite number of the character’s portals. This isn’t a new bug, unfortunately; the problem has reportedly existed since the game released and still has not been patched.
The Infinite Wraith Portals Apex Legends Glitch
Dimensional Rift is one of Wraith’s defining abilities. The character can open two such portals and travel instantaneously between them, along with anybody else, friends or enemies. Ordinarily, this ability can only be used once every couple of minutes. Obviously, the ability to spawn these Dimensional Rifts with zero cooldown would be absurd, and yet that is precisely what this Apex Legends glitch seems to allow.
According to players on Reddit and elsewhere, this glitch has existed in the game since at least February. With Season 1 now active, Respawn still hasn’t addressed the issue; meaning that Wraith players are able to exploit it for a significant advantage. Respawn has yet to officially comment on the bug, but hopefully the developers are aware and working on a fix. Needless to say, it has a lot of potential for abuse.
Like most glitches, the conditions to activate this Apex Legends glitch is a bit arcane. Unfortunately, it’s far less so than most exploits. As such, the glitch is very easy to discover accidentally if players are paying attention. According to those who have used it, all that a player needs to do is activate Wraith’s Ultimate, wait for a moment, and then vault over any ledge or low wall while activating her Tactical ability. From then on, Wraith’s Dimensional Rift ability recharges instantly.
