Burnout is one of the most beloved video game franchises. This is partly thanks to the amount of crazy things drivers can do in the game. From explosions with high-end collateral damage to incredibly fast races with deadly crashes; The Burnout franchise has acquired its own cult-following. Now, Three Fields Entertainment wants to capture that excitement with a game called Dangerous Driving. The game will even have its own Spotify integration.
Dangerous Driving Will Have Spotify Integration
The founder of Three Fields Entertainment, Alex Ward, talked about Dangerous Driving for the Game Informer Show. In the interview, he confirmed that the game will be the first to have a Spotify integration. This means that players will have free access to the music that will be playing in the game’s radio. You can watch the full interview below:
“When I drive, there is some music, certain playlists that I like to play. So what we did was get in touch with Spotify.” Said Alex before talking about his thought process. “So, instead of buying song licenses, which is what most games do, is it not better that when you drive you can choose the music?”
Dangerous Driving seems to be the Burnout spiritual successor people have been waiting for. The game will be releasing on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC (through the Epic Games Store) on April 9. Players will be able to choose any song they want to hear while racing at high speeds and taking out the competition.
What do you think about the Spotify integration for Dangerous Driving? Were you a fan of the Burnout series? What are your expectations for the game when it releases on April 9? Are you going to purchase the game on PC or consoles? Let us know your thoughts on the VGR Forums.
