The Crew 2’s Closed Beta Has Begun, And We’re Already Hooked

The Crew 2 is the newest iteration in The Crew franchise. Allowing players to to use the widest range of motorsport disciplines, including cars, bikes, boats, planes and monster trucks, The Crew 2 re-explores the landscape of the entire United States in a much more vibrant way than its predecessor. Reshaping the USA to allow the usage of multiple motorsports is something it thrives at, and includes more and more vehicle types, taking the challenge on land, in the sea and in the sky.

The game, releasing June 29, has entered its closed beta testing phase, which allows players to experience the Motornation where “the passion for all motorsports meet beautiful and diverse settings, the perfect country for fans and champs to gather and celebrate the American motorsports spirit.” You can sign-up for a chance to be invited to the closed beta on Ubisoft’s official website. The beta runs from May 31st to June 4th on PS4, XBOX ONE, and PC systems.

You can also check out the new LIVE editor, which allows players to replay their stunts in the video editor, change the liveries on their cars, and have access to a brand new photo mode. The new game really is focused towards content creation – and it works very well.
Here are a few screenshots we took in the first 20 minutes of the beta, proving that the beta is breathtaking from the very beginning. We took them with little-to-no care for specific details, mimicking a casual player, and the results came out still fantastic, and shows how catered the photo mode is towards both photographers and casual gamers – extensive but also user friendly.

The closed beta focuses on garnering feedback, but most players have just been taking in the pretty sights and enjoying themselves, exploring the massive map that is the entire United States of America. You can drive cross-country, as the beta does not cut you off in anyway. The entire map is unlocked for the player to enjoy and take advantage of before the deadline of June 4th. So, what are you waiting for? You don’t want to miss the chance to play the game before its release on June 29, 2018, and see for yourself how it has improved since the original game.
