Over the weekend, Creative Assembly held the fourth Everchosen Invitational; the seasonal Total War: Warhammer 2 Esports tournament. Eight of the best players took part in a two-day, live-streamed event featuring the new content from the upcoming DLC; The Prophet and The Warlock.
The Everchosen Spring Invitational
The Everchosen Spring Invitational featured the largest prize pool which the tournament has had yet, and a roster of both familiar and new faces. Day 1 saw new participant KingoftheDead face off against tournament veteran Romulan Dawg, winning 2-1. Meanwhile, newcomer Rightest was up against Tlaxtlan Soothsayer, a past winner of the tournament who deftly won the matchup 2-0. The third quarter-final match featured Indypride against Felkon, and once again, the new competitor took the victory with a match score of 2-0. Finally, the reigning Everchosen champion, Aerocrastic, defeated Professor Pipes 2-0.
Day 2 began with the semi-final match between Tlaxtlan Soothsayer and KingoftheDead. While the latter was able to best Romulan Dawg, and put up a good fight here, KingoftheDead lost 2-1. In the second match-up, Felkon swiftly defeated Aerocrastic 2-0, knocking the reigning champion out of the running for the finals. A match for third place between KingoftheDead and Aerocrastic ended in a 3-0 win for KingoftheDead.
The best-of-five final match between Felkon and Tlaxtlan Soothsayer went for the full five matches in a tense struggle between the two players. However, it was Tlaxtlan Soothsayer who eventually won 3-2, taking their second Everchosen victory and a $1,500 prize.

The tournament took place in a build of Total War: Warhammer 2 which featured the new content coming in The Prophet and The Warlock; plenty of which was shown off in the matches.
