Giannis Antetokounmpo Rises To Top Of NBA Live 19 Player Ratings

The NBA Playoffs are just days away with the Milwaukee Bucks holding the league’s best overall record. A large part of their success is their player Giannis Antetokounmpo who is considered the leading candidate for the Most Valuable Player Award. He’s now moved up into the top spot with the latest NBA Live 19’s player ratings update, showing how times have changed in the game.

NBA Live 19 Player Ratings: The Greek Freak Takes Over

On Thursday (Apr. 11), EA Sports NBA Live tweeted out the announcement of their latest content update. As with other new content updates, it brings an anticipated adjustment for player ratings. Among the players gaining a boost are the Trail Blazers’ Enes Kanter (84), Thunder’s Russell Westbrook (93), and Kemba Walker (92).

All of those players gained a point in the latest update, as did The Greek Freak. The Milwaukee Bucks star now holds a 97 overall rating in the game, giving him the title of top player in NBA Live 19. In a previous ratings update, LeBron James was a 96 overall. It’s no surprise that Giannis has gradually moved past King James based on the stellar season he’s put together. He and LeBron were team captains for the NBA All-Star Game, but the Greek Freak will be the one whose team is heading into the postseason.

There were several players who had surges in the latest ratings update too. Ian Clark (75) and Mario Hezonja (75) each went up by two points, while Thomas Bryant (75) gained a four-point boost. There were no significant ratings drops to report this week.

Additional NBA Live 19 updates on 4/11

In addition to the player ratings, team lineups were adjusted for five teams. The Memphis Grizzlies, Boston Celtics, Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavs, and LA Clippers all have tweaked starting lineups. Just two of those teams are in the postseason (Celtics, Clippers).

Another part of the content update was in terms of player and team transactions. Free agents Tyler Zeller and Greg Monroe have joined the Grizzlies and 76ers, respectively. Wesley Johnson, Isaiah Briscoe, and Justin Patton are all free agents in the game.

Otherwise, there were no significant updates for NBA Live 19. We’ll be staying tuned to see what’s next for the game as they move into playoff mode!
