GameStop is launching a brand new promotion just ahead of the launch of Days Gone. This new promo is called “Guaranteed to Love It” and will be a benefit to gamers everywhere who like physical copies of games. Essentially, if you purchase Days Gone brand new at launch, you have up to 48 hours to return for the price back.
News of this comes via a leaked document that Cheap Ass Gamer acquired. While returning games is nothing new, this Guaranteed to Love It GameStop promotion actually allows you to return the game even if you opened it up and played it. The best part is you will get the full $59.99 MSRP that you paid back but the catch is it will be in in-store credit only. Regardless, this is great news if you don’t happen to like a game you get.
As of right now, Days Gone is the first and only game that we know about that will be in the Guaranteed to Love It GameStop promotion. This is also good if you have a short game that you know you can beat in less than two days and then return for your money back in trade credit. Note that the eligible dates for this promotion is only April 25 through April 28, 2019 for Days Gone.
This means that even if you buy Days Gone a month from now brand new at GameStop, it won’t be included in this promotion. It is only up to 48 hours from the initial launch of the game. However, this works out, though, as the game launches on a Friday so you have the full weekend to enjoy it. It is certainly possible to beat it in that time but we do recommend you practice healthy sleeping, eating, and resting habits.
We also recommend that you don’t take advantage of the Guaranteed to Love It GameStop too many times in a row if the company continues to do it.
