The Madden 19 Color Smash continues for Ultimate Team gamers with a brand new Masters dropping on April 16. The Los Angeles Chargers’ Melvin Gordon now has a sweet new card, as does Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Here are more details about their cards and who else arrived within the Madden 19 Color Smash promotion.
Melvin Gordon gets 99 Masters in MUT
Just a day ago, EA Sports was interacting with Melvin Gordon on Twitter regarding Madden 20 and his new touchdown celebration. On Tuesday, the Madden Ultimate Team crew dropped news of Gordon’s brand new Color Smash card with a 99 overall rating. The 6-foot-1 halfback has some great key attributes including 98 Carrying and Elusiveness along with 96 Agility, 95 Speed, and 94 Acceleration. All of that comes with an upgradable Power Up card for Ultimate Team.

As with the other Masters player cards released in Color Smash, earning Melvin Gordon takes a bit of work. Gamers need to acquire a collection of three Color Smash Heroes players to trade in for the Masters card. They’ll get back the Melvin Gordon 99 OVR along with all three Heroes as NATs.
Big Ben, Other new cards in Color Smash
Madden Ultimate Team showed off several other players with 97 OVR cards in Color Smash. Leading the way is the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger. “Big Ben” is in a similar spot as veteran Tom Brady where both stars are still playing well, but also nearing their retirement in the coming years.
Even so, Ultimate Team gamers now get another nice option for their playcaller and passer on the field. That new Big Ben Color Smash includes 97 Throw Power, 97 Throw on the Run, and a 96 Throw Accuracy for Short Range. His 75 Speed probably leaves a lot to be desired for many MUT gamers, though. Still, he’s got the Power Up card and may be useful for gamers building Steelers squads.
Two other offensive Color Smash player cards arrived with Roethlisberger’s. They include the Washington Redskins’ Brandon Scherff and Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Demar Dotson. Just like Big Ben, they each bring a 97 OVR and they each bring some height at their position. Scherff is 6-foot-5 just like Roethlisberger, while Dotson is an imposing 6-foot-9 right tackle. Definitely the types of presence you want on your offensive line!
