Earlier this week, Santa Monica Studios announced a week-long celebration for the one-year anniversary of God of War; the latest enormously-successful entry in the series. Following the release of a new trailer, the studio announced an anniversary sale for the game. They are also bringing some free content to the PS4. Now, the studio has announced that Mondo will be launching three new pieces of God of War merch to mark the anniversary.
Mondo Reveals Upcoming God of War Merch to Mark the Game’s Anniversary
Mondo has previously released several pieces of God of War merch. The retailer sold a vinyl edition of the game’s soundtrack, for example, along with a Kratos figurine. Now, the retailer has three new upcoming pieces of merch. The first of these is a 1/6 scale deluxe figurine of Kratos, similar to the figurine which they released last year. This figurine will become available on the 29th of April, later this month.
The second and third pieces of God of War merch will be available one day later, on the 30th of April. The first of these is a pair of hard enamel pins designed by Nicolas Delort, one featuring Atreus and one featuring Kratos. The final piece of new merch is a; “stunning limited edition screen printed poster by Matt Taylor”. Fans can sign up for updates about this upcoming merchandise on a special page of Mondo’s website.
It’s currently unknown what Santa Monica Studios is working on, as nothing has been officially announced. However, it is all but certain that the studio is working on the next God of War title. Although Cory Barlog did reportedly have some ideas for God of War DLC, they proved to be too ambitious. Earlier this year, he said that the studio never moved forward with developing it due to its size.
