The Division 2: Ubisoft Outlines Problems That Will be Addressed in Upcoming Updates

The Division 2 is a pretty solid tactical shooter sequel, but it’s also not without its issues. In fact, some of the more glaring issues are tied to the recently launched 1.04 game update. In a recent community update post, Ubisoft outlined the issues it will be focusing on in upcoming updates.

The Division 2 upcoming fixes

First up, Ubisoft detailed what will be fixed in this week’s update 2.1. The imminently-arriving update will address problems with the crafting bench,  Reviver Hive skill, True Patriot gear set, and more. Further down the line, Ubisoft plans on addressing a bunch of additional problems as well.

The issues Ubisoft touches on in its post don’t just relate to game bugs or glitches. Player feedback is being incorporated in several ways as well. For starters, Ubisoft will address gear dropping below 500 gear score for players who reached the score cap. This was intentional, but Ubisoft admitted that it can make constructing gear builds a frustrating process.

Another issue Ubisoft plans on addressing is in-game avatar customization. Eventually, players will be able to change their Division 2 avatar’s gender if they so desire. A bald hairstyle and red hair color are also on the docket. However, Ubisoft warned that such features are low priority and thus won’t arrive anytime soon.

As for top priority issues, those include the overly-aggressive AI which unintentionally increases the overall game difficulty. Not only will Ubisoft be toning down enemy aggression, it will also make enemies less bullet-spongy on harder difficulties. A future update will also make sprinting and cover-to-cover movement a less-risky tactic. Oh, and the infamous T-posing NPC’s linked to update 1.04 will also be fixed in short order.

The full list of upcoming changes is worth reading through since it also addresses areas like structured PvP and talents. Ubisoft is also encouraging players to submit feedback regarding PC performance issues. An upcoming NVIDIA driver update should resolve any DX12 crashes players are currently encountering.

Hopefully, the more pressing issues will be resolved in time for The Division 2’s first raid which launches next month.
