PES League 2019 World Final Competitors Decided in Thrilling Europe Regional Finals Victories

This past weekend had a number of major esports competitions going on involving popular sports games. Not only was the Madden 19 Bowl champion crowned, but FIFA 19 also had knockout stages for eChampions League. That helped to decide eight FIFA finalists for the upcoming league Final in Madrid in May. In addition, FIFA competitor Pro Evolution League was in the spotlight. They crowned new champions at Europe Regional Finals and finalists were decided for the PES League 2019 World Finals.

Usmakabyle wins 1v1 Championship, headed to PES League finals

When it came to crowning the winner of the one vs. one (1v1) competition, it came down to a tense finale. The two competitors, Usmakabyle and PW_Christopher, had to go to penalty kicks to decide things. When all was said and done, Usmakabyle was able to capture the victory in thrilling fashion.

It started out 20 players split amongst four groups for the 1v1 tourney. Usmakabyle advanced to the quarterfinals where he defeated Lofty_Derradji 5-3 in his matchup. From there, he knocked out Alexalguacil_8 in the semis before heading to the tough finals. He’s now the official champion after Season 2.

It means Usmakabyle is not only the EU S2 1v1 champion but he’s also headed to the PES League 2019 World Final. A video from PES League Twitter shows the champion as he celebrates his big victory.

Co-op Champions

Ahead of the exciting 1v1 tournament’s finish, came an equally-exciting finish in the co-op tournament. That featured the team of Quedesshlags gaining their victory on penalty kicks as well. The duo defeated Mkers 4-3 to capture the championship.

The two sides went into extra time all tied at 2-2. To get to that penalty shootout also took an impressive block from Quedesshlags to prevent a potential game-winner from Mkers.

With the win, Quedesshlags will be headed to the PES League 2019 World Finals. So will Broken Silence as European representatives at the competition.

This marks the first year that Pro Evolution Soccer has featured the Co-op category during their league competition. Other regional finals took place for Asia this past month. There will also be Season 2 regional finals for America in May. These will determine the other finalists for the PES League’s World Finals. The finals will take place in June with the 1v1 and Cop-op finalists from Season 1 and 2 competing.
