It may not be NFL season for several more months, but that isn’t stopping the Madden 19 excitement. The game is continuing to add brand new components including the recent launch of MUT Loyalty Program. In addition, they’ve added even more of the 2019 NFL rookies to the game along with some brand new House Rules to try out. Let’s check out the latest Madden 19 rookies and special rules to try with head-to-head games.
Which new NFL rookies joined Madden 19?
Several weeks ago, NFL fans got to see which college stars were drafted to which teams. The night of the NFL Draft included Madden 19 adding first-round picks to Ultimate Team in a special MUT Draft event. All 32 of the first-rounders joined the game through that promotion. Not long after, some of the notable second and third-round picks were added. Now even more NFL rookies are in the game.
On the Tuesday (May 7) episode of Madden Daily Drops, they unveiled the latest young stars to join Ultimate Team. Leading the way is Seattle Seahawks NFL Combine star DK Metcalf. He now has a 93 OVR card that gamers can seek out in the promotion. The Metcalf card brings a 96 Speed and 96 Jumping amongst his key Attributes. In addition, a 92 deep route run with a 6-foot-3 receiver probably won’t be bad to have on a MUT roster at all!
List of new Madden rookies in Ultimate Team
Other rookies shown above included Browns CB Greedy Williams, Broncos center Dalton Risner, and Colts receiver Parris Campbell. Carolina Panthers fans will be happy to see that their rookie quarterback Will Grier is also available. Here’s the entire list (below) of brand new rookies added to Madden’s Ultimate Team promo.
- Greedy Williams CB (94)
- Byron Murphy CB (94)
- Erik McCoy C (94)
- Dalton Risner C (94)
- Greg Little LT (94)
- Parris Campbell WR (93)
- D.K. Metcalf WR (93)
- J.J. Arcega-Whiteside WR (93)
- Nasir Adderley FS (93)
- Taylor Rapp FS (93)
- Devin Singletary HB (92)
- Jaylon Ferguson ROLB (92)
- Will Grier QB (92)
- Chauncey Gardner-Johnson FS (91)
- Deionte Thompson FS (91)
- Kelvin Harmon WR (91)
Right now, several of the cards above are fetching a decent price on the XBox One market. In particular, Saints center Erik McCoy has been getting over 104,000 while Metcalf and Greedy Williams are commanding at least 100K each on the market. So these could be the ones to trade in your MUT draft sets for if you’re looking to get some currency from the market.
Brand new “Break Free” House Rules
In addition to the excitement of the new Madden 19 rookies that gamers can add to Ultimate Teams, there are also some new House Rules. These are for the Head-to-Head aspect of Ultimate Team. The latest is a limited time event for the next few days.
It’s called “Break Free” and will involve rushing touchdowns that are worth more points than traditional TDs. So all rushing touchdowns that are 20-40 yards will be worth 12 points. All touchdowns that are 40-plus yards are worth a whopping 18 points.
If you’ve got a star RB or HB capable of “breaking free,” this could be a fun way to demoralize your opponents’ defenses. As a reward for the hard work, rack up 10 total wins and get one of those first-round 2019 NFL Draft picks!
This latest edition of House Rules ends on Thursday, May 9, at 10:30 a.m. Eastern Time. However, the new Madden 19 rookies should be available longer than that.
