As of right now, just three teams remain in the NBA Playoffs. The Golden State Warriors are sitting pretty again after achieving their fifth-straight NBA Finals appearance. Even without Kevin Durant, the team has continue to roll, sweeping away the Portland Trail Blazers in four games. On the East side of things, the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors are all tied at 2-2, leaving plenty of intrigue. With all the recent happenings in the postseason, it’s only natural that NBA Live 19 playoff ratings for players are adjusted.
Enes Kanter, Eric Bledsoe slump in NBA Live 19 ratings update
There’s a popular saying, “Game recognize game,” and that’s true when it comes to the virtual athletes in sports video games. The EA Sports NBA Live crew takes notice of poor or lackluster performances and can drop a player’s ratings very quick. That’s the case for both the Blazers’ Enes Kanter and Bucks’ Eric Bledsoe.
Kanter averaged career bests during Portland’s latest postseason run with 11.4 points, 9.7 boards, and 1.2 assists a game. However, his performances against the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals left a lot to be desired. The big man scored under 10 points in the last three games as the Blazers were swept away. Meanwhile, Meyers Leonard stepped up in that Game 4 overtime battle.
Eric Bledsoe is the other player in NBA Live to drop a point this week. The Milwaukee Bucks point guard is now rated at 85 overall and with at least two games to go, he can improve upon that number. Unfortunately for Kanter, his postseason is over.
Draymond Green helps Warriors reach NBA Finals, moves up in Live
As shown above, some of the remaining playoff players received one-point boosts. That includes Milwaukee big man Brook Lopez, up a point to an 81 overall and Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green. Both players have looked good in their recent performances. The same is true of Toronto Raptors players Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam. They have helped Kawhi Leonard and company even the Eastern Conference Finals at 2-2.
Normally, it’s Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson getting the boosts. However a recent triple-double and game-clinching three puts Draymond on the same level as Lowry and Siakam at 87 overall. Some gamers feel he needs to be ahead of those games, but he’ll have time to do that.
By the way, NBA 2K19 sees things differently with the ratings. They’ve got Lowry as an 84, Siakam at 85, and Green sitting at an 83. So in fairness, the Golden State Warriors star is probably where he needs to be in the game. Should Toronto fall in the next few games, his fellow 87s in NBA Live will probably drop.
Toronto’s Norman Powell is also a player who went up a point to become a 77 in the NBA Live 19 ratings update for players. In addition to those changes, the latest NBA Live update made some WNBA roster transactions and lineup changes. Particularly, a trade involving the Wings and Aces has moved Liz Cambage to the Vegas team. Isabelle Harrison and Moriah Jefferson are now part of the Wings. Check out the full update notes here.
Gamers are also hoping for a gameplay update, and it seems it could arrive next month. Get more of the latest NBA Live news here.
