NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 Courts Now Include NYC Subway Playground Location, New Outfits for Players
It’s been a little bit since we’ve seen the NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 courts bring something new. Earlier on Tuesday (May 28), the NBA 2K Playgrounds Twitter indicated some fresh new content was on the way for the popular game. However, it meant that Playgrounds 2’s online mode was down for several hours. While gamers could play offline, the developers worked to make sure the newest batch of goodies was up and running. Now, there’s a brand new NBA 2K Playgrounds court featuring New York City as well as brand new outfits.
NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 Courts: NYC Subway location added to game
After the downtime, the NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 Twitter updated fans that the new content was finally installed. They revealed that there’s a brand new location in the game to try out. It pays homage to the New York City’s underground, with a playground there in the subway station. As seen in the video, it showcases the cool location by including aspects like bucket street drummers and subway signs.
As seen in the hype video above, not only does NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 court bring gamers to the underground subway, it also provides some fresh new outfits. Images from the video show off tropical shirts full of color and camouflage outfits. There’s even someone rocking a stylish pair of plaid pants along with a pink sweater/white button-up ensemble. That should help gamers set themselves apart from competitors and gives the new setting a uniqueness too as people can simply jump into a game wearing whatever.
Previous updates included Mars, cross-platform play
The latest updates come a month after a previous update brought gamers an “out of this world experience.” NBA 2K Playgrounds featured a futuristic playground location with Mars. It also came complete with new outfits and some updates to the 2K Playgrounds editor items that gamers could use to customize their own courts.
Of course, the other big update that arrived with that Mars Playground was the cross-platform news. Gamers have been able to enjoy playing the NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 game between different systems such as Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PCs. Unfortunately, the Sony PlayStation 4 isn’t part of that cross-platform update and probably won’t be for the foreseeable future.
