For gamers who live in Europe and Japan, we’ve got some bad news. Your PS Plus subscription prices are going to be going up. Sony has sent notices out to some subscribers concerning the rate hikes. What we know comes from those notices.
What Will the New PS Plus Subscription Prices Be?
According to the notices, prices for PS Plus are going to go up in Germany, Norway, France, Sweden, Switzerland and Japan.
In Sweden, the cost for a year subscription is going to rise from 575 kr to 620 kr. The other subscription options also will go up in price. In Switzerland, the one year subscription cost will rise from 59.90 CHF to 69.90 CHF. Once again, the other subscription options will increase in price as well. Thankfully, only the one month subscription cost will go up in France, Norway and Germany.
What about subscription costs in Japan? For a one month subscription, the cost is set to increase from ¥514 to ¥850. For three months, it will increase to ¥2150. If you are subscribed in South Korea, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia or Thailand, your subscription price will also rise.
