Cyberpunk 2077 may still be almost a year away from release, but fans in the US and Canada will soon be able to purchase the game. CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 pre-orders will soon be available in the region. This announcement only covers the US and Canada, however, and only includes PC pre-orders.
When You Can Get Cyberpunk 2077 Pre-Orders in the US and Canada
As stated by CD Projekt Red, Cyberpunk 2077 pre-orders for the PC will be available from the 20th of June in the US and Canada. Pre-orders will become available, specifically, at 10:00 AM PST. Given the enormous hype that has surrounded Cyberpunk 2077, it’s highly likely that pre-orders will sell out relatively quickly. Of course, the game is still a long way away from release. As such, stock should have plenty of time to replenish.
Now that Cyberpunk 2077 has a formal release date, fans can expect to start hearing more specific information about the game in the coming months. Since E3 2018, CD Projekt Red has been slowly revealing details, but much of this information has been hazy. Of course, the game is still in development, so much could have changed between then and release. Now, more and more information will become concrete as development draws to an end.
However, with months left to go before release, fans probably shouldn’t expect huge news or gameplay releases for a while yet. CD Projekt Red is likely to wait for another big event like Gamescom or the Game Awards; sometime closer to their release date when they can make announcements to a larger-than-average audience. Although there are likely to be interviews with studio representatives following E3, it will probably be a few months before the studio releases anything truly significant. Indeed, the game demonstrations from E3 won’t be released publicly until Gamescom, according to CD Projekt Red.
