There’s still a number of weeks until the Madden 20 game will be in full circulation for PS4 and Xbox gamers. Luckily on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the EA Madden Ultimate Team crew is providing new content through the offseason. The latest event in Ultimate Team is Madden 19 Player Spotlights, with a group of new player cards arriving biweekly. On Thursday, we six more stars join the mix including the New York Jets’ QB Sam Darnold and former Chicago Bears’ receiver Alshon Jeffrey.
Alshon Jeffrey, Sam Darnold among new Madden 19 Player Spotlights cards
With each new group of Madden 19 Player Spotlights cards, two of those cards come with 99 overall ratings. Leading the way is the future star of the New York Jets, Sam Darnold. His PS card won’t boast the sort of scrambling speed of a high-rated Lamar Jackson or Cam Newton, but he brings a sweet 99 Throw Accuracy on Short passes, along with 98 Throw on the Run and 95 Throw Power. Check out Darnold’s brand new Player Spotlights card below.
Minkah Fitzpatrick of the Miami Dolphins has the other top-rated card at 99 OVR. The Dolphins’ cornerback has a new card including 99 Acceleration, 98 Zone Coverage, and 98 Agility, amongst other great attributes.
Another new card from the two “Classics” in this group goes to former Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey. Jeffrey, who has also played for the Philadelphia Eagles has 99 Spectacular Catch, 98 Catch in Traffic, and 97 Catching as a talented 6-foot-3 receiver. The 94 Speed and the fact it’s a Power Up card also make a nice addition, especially on Bears’ Ultimate Teams.
A total of six new Madden 19 Player Spotlights cards Ultimate Team’s promotion. Along with Darnold, Jeffrey, and Fitzpatrick are Atlanta Falcons MLB Deion Jones (98 OVR), Los Angeles Rams LT Andrew Whitworth (97), and New York Jets’ MLB Darron Lee (97). How to get the new Darnold, Jeffrey, and other PS cards
These cards are the latest to join the promotion in addition to the new Ultimate Team cards we highlighted this past Tuesday. Those included Calvin Ridley, Justin Reid, and more. Prior to that, Cleveland Browns’ quarterback Baker Mayfield was included. To get these cards, gamers typically need to build sets of tokens, consisting of silver and gold tokens. A certain combination of these is needed for each card, and it changes based on the OVR rating.
In addition, there are Madden 19 Player Spotlights cards hiding out in the packs available at the Store. Alternatively, consider placing a bid on the player card you want most at the Auction House in Madden 19 rather than overspending on packs as you try to find them. Here’s a look at the recent Sam Darnold auctions taking place on the PlayStation 4 version of Madden 19.
