NBA Live 19 Free Agents: Kemba Walker, Ricky Rubio Shown in New Team Jerseys
NBA free agency is less than 24 hours away, but moves are already being made in the league based on headlines. There’s a changing of the guards. Several point guards will reportedly take their services to new NBA teams next season. That includes veteran Ricky Rubio and longtime Charlotte Bobcats and Hornets star, Kemba Walker. Thanks to the magic of video games, there are previous of these NBA Live 19 free agents on their new teams.
NBA Live 19 free agents: Kemba Walker to Boston Celtics
Thanks to NBA Live 19 community, we’ve already seen Anthony Davis on the Lakers, and Lonzo Ball on the Pelicans. Those players were involved in a pre-draft trade, though, and now it’s free agency time. There have been rumors for weeks about Kemba Walker. The longtime Charlotte player and franchise leader for several stats categories was due a supermax deal.
However, his team didn’t reward him as expected. So the NBA All-Star is heading to the Boston Celtics, per ESPN. The deal has to be finalized still, but most reports expect that Walker will sign a deal to put on the Celtics green. He’ll be the replacement for fellow All-Star Kyrie Irving.
For his career, Walker’s averaged 19.8 points along with 5.5 assists and 3.8 rebounds. Here’s a look at Kemba already in the No. 15 jersey, courtesy of @JoystickJocks on Twitter.
Ricky Rubio headed to Indiana Pacers
Ricky Rubio hasn’t necessarily been with one franchise for his entire career. The veteran guard spent his first six seasons in Minnesota and the last two with the Utah Jazz. In Utah, Rubio averaged 12.7 points, 6.1 assists, and 3.6 boards last season. His career numbers include 11 points a game and 7.7 assists a contest.
He’ll now head to the Indiana Pacers, a team on the rise with their core including Victor Oladipo, Myles Turner, and Domantas Sabonis. Here’s a first look at Rubio wearing his new Pacers jersey alongside Kemba Walker in a different Celtics jersey.
These are just two early NBA Live 19 free agents who appear to be on the move, reportedly. So far no deals are official until players can sign in the next several days. Kemba Walker is reportedly finalizing his deal on Sunday. Other players to keep an eye on now will include Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler, and Kyrie Irving. All four have been mentioned as possibly leaving for a brand new team, so stay tuned!

The most recent NBA Live 19 update involved transactions and ratings changes for WNBA players. It should be interesting to see if they’ll update NBA Live 19 free agents or leave them for NBA Live 20.
