FIFA 19 PlayStation 4 Playoffs Details: Top eSports Stars Competing for Championship, eWorld Cup Spots

Elite eSports stars will compete in the upcoming FIFA 19 PlayStation 4 playoffs. While there will be a number of contenders vying for the title in Berlin, only one will raise the trophy and collect a grand prize. However, other contenders will be able to qualify for the grand finale, the huge FIFA eWorld Cup. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming event including how to watch it all live online.

FIFA 19 PlayStation 4 Playoffs

A total of 64 competitors will be participating in the FIFA 19 PlayStation 4 playoffs. These players are considered the best at the football simulation game on the PS4 platform. Just days ago, a surprising champion emerged in the Xbox One playoffs where F2Tekkz was upset in the finals. Even so, Tekkz will be heading to the eWorld Cup as the overall points leader for the PS4 esports stars.

The PlayStation 4 playoffs will feature elite players including Argentina’s Nicolas99fc and Vitality Maestro from France. They’re the top two players in terms of current PS4 rankings, with Belgium’s PSV PINNA97 and Germany’s MoAuba right behind them. COL Joksan of the United States ranks fifth heading into the tournament. Rankings are based on how many points competitors have accumulated through various events.

On Tuesday (July 9), the EA Sports FIFA Competitive Gaming Twitter released a promotional video for the playoffs. It features highlights showing all of the excitement and drama that can happen in these eSports tournaments.

There’s a total prize pool of $250,000 which will be distributed amongst the competitors, based on where they finish. Whoever wins the FIFA 19 PlayStation playoffs will leave with $75,000 and 1,800 Global Series Points for their standings. As the final match concludes, 16 competitors will also be qualified to head to the eWorld Cup.

With 64 competitors in the tournament, things could get interesting. Viewers watch the FIFA Xbox points leader Tekkz get to the finals recently, but Rebel Stoke was waiting for his moment. He ultimately dethroned one of the best in FIFA. Could there be a huge upset brewing for any of the rounds in the FIFA 19 PlayStation 4 playoffs? It’s always possible!
