With the arrival of football season very soon, teams will be playing to determine which squad rules them all. Based on the Madden 20 team ratings, that team is none other than the Philadelphia Eagles. They captured the Super Bowl trophy a few seasons ago, but failed to reach the big game this past season. However, based on Madden 20, Philly should be the best of all 32 NFL teams in the 2019-20 season.
Eagles top Madden 20 team ratings with 89
Based on overall personnel, neither the New England Patriots nor the Los Angeles Rams are ahead of the rest of the virtual NFL teams. The Philadelphia Eagles score an 89 overall for their Madden 20 team ratings, putting them above the Super Bowl winners and runner-up team. All three of the aforementioned teams feature players ranked in the top 20 player ratings.
For the Philadelphia Eagles, Fletcher Cox ranks amongst the top 20. The Eagles’ defensive tackle is among the best, if not the best, in the league with a 96 overall. In addition to Cox, there are four other players on the Eagles ranked 90 or better. Jason Kelce (94), Zach Ertz (93), Malcolm Jenkins (92), and Brandon Brooks (90) are all within striking distance of getting into, or closer to, the Madden 99 Club.
Carson Wentz comes in with an 82 OVR ahead of this season. Eagles fans are hoping Wentz delivers more of what he showed two seasons ago when he helped lead this team towards a Super Bowl. Nick Foles helped finish the job and will now try to help out Jacksonville.
All 32 NFL teams rated for new game
The Dallas Cowboys are second overall. They also rank ahead of the Super Bowl champs, as well as Green Bay, New Orleans, and Kansas City. Dallas boasts superstars Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott. Zeke ranks second only to Todd Gurley for running backs.
Dallas’ highest-rated player is right guard Zack Martin. Center Travis Frederick and Left tackle Tyron Smith are both 94 OVRs along with Elliott. Cornerback Byron Jones (91) gives the team a fifth player with a 90-or-better rating.

Giants, Dolphins rank as league’s worst
It could be a rough season in Miami for Dolphins fans. They have some talent on the roster, with their top two players rated at 84 overall (Kenny Stills, Laremy Tunsil). However, quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s 75 OVR has him rather low in terms of QB ratings. There’s also second-year QB Josh Rosen who could battle for the starting spot.
Giants fans may be surprised to see their team is second-worst. New York failed to draft the quarterback fans were expecting and opted for Daniel Jones out of Duke, instead. Adding insult to injury, is the fact the ratings crew put NFL rookie Dwayne Haskins on par with Eli Manning. Is someone sending a message to NY?
Just above the Giants are four teams with 78 overall ratings including the Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets, and Buffalo Bills. Each of these teams has a young quarterback at the helm. Depending on how Kyler Murray, Sam Bradford, or Josh Allen performs, they could see their squads surprise when the NFL season arrives!
