Madden 20 Pre-Orders Arrive, New Companion App Goes Live for Mobile

Tuesday, July 30 brought the official arrival of Madden 20 pre-orders to gamers. Those customers who put in early orders for the Madden Superstar and Ultimate Superstar editions of the game are now grinding on the virtual gridiron. With the first wave of games hitting consoles and PCs, it’s also brought an early review, was well as the release of the Madden 20 companion app.

Madden 20 pre-orders arrive, positive review

While there were social media influencers such as EA Game Changers who got to preview early copies, some members of the media also have been able to check out the game. That included SBNation’s James Brady who gave the game it’s first glowing review so far.

Brady awarded Madden 20 a 96 out of 100 rating based on how much work has gone under the surface to improve overall gameplay. In particular, he mentions there’s a lot of moving parts with all of the different features, but the developers have done a great job to upgrade. Each of the Madden 20 editions include some Ultimate Team content but the pre-orders had a bit more. For example, Superstar Edition includes 12 Gold Team Fantasy Packs and a Small Training Quick Sell Pack.

The Ultimate Superstar Edition features 15 Gold Team Fantasy Packs and a Large Training Quick Sell Pack. It also includes a Madden Championship Series Pack and one Past & Present Elite Player Pack.

All versions of Madden 20 give gamers a choice of one of the 32 NFL Elite Players, and a choice of a unique Superstar Ability. That includes the Standard Edition. The official release date for the game is this Friday, August 2.

There have been some gamers who may not have seen certain Ultimate Team content show up in their account on the game. This seems to be a recurring complaint amongst some who received pre-orders on July 30.

However, on a Twitch live stream on Tuesday, they indicated the best way to try to resolve that is to back out of the Madden 20 game, and then go back in. If that doesn’t work, then it could be time to contact EA support (@EAHelp on Twitter).

Companion App launches for iOS, Android
