Today, we’ll be discussing the top-tier exotic weapons you should starting grinding for (if you’re don’t already have them) before Destiny 2 Shadowkeep launches. Lately, we’ve covered two portions of this series – Top Exotic Weapons for PvE and top Exotic Armor for PvE. Below, you can see my list of the best exotic weapons you should have.
5 Exotic Weapons You Must Have in Destiny 2
Note: Keep in mind that this list is for PvP activities only.
Ace of Spades: (Exotic Hand Cannon)
It’s no doubt that Ace of Spades was one of the best hand cannons in Destiny 1, and now, in Destiny 2 as well. It was added with Forsaken (Year 2 expansion) and since then, Ace of Spades is reigning supreme inside the Crucible.
Intrinsic perk: Reloading after a kill loads magazine with a few extra-damage bullets. Grants radar while aiming down sights.
How to get: Can be acquired by completing the Forsaken campaign and Cayde’s Will.
Truth: (Exotic Rocket Launcher)
Truth is also an old Destiny 1 exotic. Its unique perk is called “Prototype Trueseeker” which allows Truth’s rockets to track its targets. If you’re serious about the Crucible, you must have this Rocket Launcher.
Intrinsic perk: This weapon’s rockets have tracking. Lock onto targets when aiming down sights.
How to get: Complete the Exotic Quest
The Last Word: (Exotic Hand Cannon)
The Last Word is one of the best go-to weapons in the Crucible on PC, but it’s a whole other story on consoles. Due to bloom, this weapon (and other hand cannons) is just not worth using. Bungie should fix the bloom on consoles as it’s ruining one of the best weapon categories in-game.
Intrinsic perk: This weapon can be fired quickly and continuously. Faster reload and increased accuracy on successive hip-fire damage.
How to get: Complete “The Draw” exotic quest
Outbreak Perfected: (Exotic Pulse Rifle)
Outbreak Perfected was added in Season of the Drifter. It’s a reprise weapon from Destiny 1 and now added in Destiny 2. Since its release, Outbreak Perfected has been demolishing in the Crucible.
Intrinsic perk: This weapon creates SIVA nanite swarms on rapid hits and precision kills.
How to get: Complete “Zero Hour” mission.
Wardcliff Coil: (Exotic Rocket Launcher)
This exotic weapon was leaked back during the Destiny 1 era. But for some reason, it wasn’t added into the game. Now, in Destiny 2, we’ve got this weapon with the vanilla version of the game. Wardcliff Coil (with its catalyst) can take out a whole team of opponents when used perfectly.
Intrinsic perk: This weapon fires a volley of rockets.
How to get: Random drop
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
