If you are a fan of the original MediEvil which was on the PS1, you probably can’t wait for the upcoming remake of the game. And guess what? You can try a demo of it right away. This is your chance to get a firsthand experience of what you can expect from the new version of the classic title.
The MediEvil Limited Time Demo is Available Now
Head to the PlayStation Store, and you will find this page for a “MediEvil Short-Lived Demo.” The date the demo became available was September 24th, 2019. Since then, 193 ratings already appeared with the average coming out to 5 stars. Here is the description from the page:
“The illustrious Sir Daniel Fortesque cordially invites you to try the MediEvil: Short-lived Demo, where you can hack, slash and blunder your way through Dan’s Crypt and The Graveyard – the first two levels of MediEvil.
Got something to prove? That sounds familiar… Look carefully around Sir Dan’s tomb to find an exclusive helmet which makes his life (or should that be death?) more difficult. This uniquely challenging apparel can only be found in this demo and carries through to the full game too!
Be sure to grab it while you can… this limited-time demo is decomposing fast.*”
Will the system save your progress and transfer it to the full version of MediEvil once you purchase it? The listing does not say. We also do not know if trophies are available. In any case, even if progress doesn’t transfer, that is totally okay. After all, replaying the levels will be fun.
You have until October 6th at 23:59 PT to try this demo. It is free, so you have nothing to lose. But we recommend that you download it ASAP. Why? Because it is unclear what “until October 6th” really means. It is possible that the entire demo will no longer be available to play after that, rather than just that you won’t be able to download it anymore.
So, make sure you do not miss out on your chance to try MediEvil for free. And get ready to play the full game when it releases for $30 on October 25th, 2019. In terms of today’s prices, that is quite reasonable. Enjoy the demo, and check back with us soon for more news.
