Destiny 2: Here’s When You Can Pre-Load Shadowkeep On Consoles

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep is just 2 sleeps away from where I live. It will be live on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, on all platforms (PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC) except Stadia. Shadowkeep was revealed back in June when Bungie announced their split-up with Activision. Here’s a quick run-down on what to expect in Shadowkeep. The Moon is back but it’s a lot bigger as compared to the one in Destiny 1. Monte Carlo is back with Armor 2.0, Finisher Moves, New Mods, and Seasonal Artifact. If you’re wondering when you can pre-load Shadowkeep on consoles, we have an answer for you.

Shadowkeep Pre-Load on Consoles

Destiny 2 Shadowkeep Pre-load consoles

Earlier this week, Bungie made pre-load available for the players on Steam to download Destiny 2 New Light as a free-to-play game. So, even if you haven’t pre-ordered Shadowkeep on Steam, you can pre-load it on Steam right now. As for consoles, Bungie also revealed that there will be 24-hour maintenance starting on Monday which goes till Tuesday on Reset. Here’s what Bungie said in their weekly TWAB blog-post:

“Right now, all PC players can pre-load Destiny 2 on Steam, which includes pre-loading for New Light and Shadowkeep. Since New Light makes Destiny 2 accessible to everyone for free, no purchase is necessary to pre-load.

Existing console players will be able to pre-load Update 2.6.0 during the maintenance leading up to launch. The moment we confirm that downloads are available, we’ll sound off from the support links provided above.”

This pretty much gives out the information you need about pre-loading Shadowkeep on consoles. If you haven’t been preparing for Shadowkeep launch, here’s a guide that I wrote for the things you must do before Shadowkeep launch. There have been many Shadowkeep videos going live on YouTube. If you don’t like getting spoiled, I would suggest to go underground till Shadowkeep launch.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep will be hitting PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, on October 1, 2019, and later in November on Google Stadia.
