Just ahead of the upcoming launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Activision and Scuf Gaming have unveiled the SCUF Vantage 2 Modern Warfare controller; a limited-edition Modern Warfare PS4 controller. The new controller is intended to mark the launch of Modern Warfare, and is a variant of Scuf Gaming’s pro-gaming SCUF Vantage 2 controller. Replete with customisable features, the controller is available to order now.
The Limited-Edition Modern Warfare PS4 Controller
“This wireless controller comes with a whole suite of configurable components,” explains Activision; “including (but not limited to) four back paddles, two side-mounted Sax buttons, a customisation app to quickly adjust settings, an ergonomic grip, adjustable triggers and removable vibration modules. […] All of this hardware lives under the hood of an exclusive faceplate design based on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. A tactical blue topography map is placed across most of the Vantage’s profile, with solid black grips accenting the controller’s sides and the MW logo etched right into the audio touch bar.”
The new controller certainly stands out with this flashy Modern Warfare-style design; it seems like a perfect tool for players to set out with in the new game. Of course, all of its hardware and militarised aesthetic comes at a cost. The SCUF Vantage 2 Modern Warfare controller is only available in North America. Gamers can order the controller online or get one at GameStop for $219.95 USD; no small fee for a controller.
Of course, the controller does give you far more customisability and functionality than a standard PS4 controller. Plus, as it’s a SCUF Vantage controller, it is compatible with the various accessory kits which Scuf Gaming produce for that controller. Plus, you can swap out most of the parts to suit your particular preferences. It’s currently unknown how long the controller will be available, but it is specifically a limited-edition product. As such, fans who want to get their hands on it should probably do so soon.
