Latest Borderlands 3 Hotfixes Include Major Buff for Moze and Pets

Earlier this week, Gearbox launched a new Eridium-centric weekly event. Now, the studio has rolled out their latest set of Borderlands 3 hotfixes. In amongst a variety of weapon adjustments, Vault Hunters who summon allies, such as FL4K and Moze, have gotten a significant buff. Plus, the patch includes several new bug-fixes.

Vault Hunter Adjustments in the Latest Borderlands 3 Hotfixes

“The current state of Moze’s Iron Bear, Zane’s Digi-Clone, and FL4K’s pets have made players focus on other elements besides those Vault Hunter’s fundamental action skills in the late game,” explains Gearbox; “While longer term solutions to scaling their damage is explored, we have boosted the health of Iron Bear, the Digi-Clone, and the pets to make them more viable. We will have more to say about long term solutions for these characters in the future.”

Borderlands 3 Hotfixes Buff Moze and Pets 2

While it may simply be a health upgrade, this buff is no small thing. Both Moze’s Iron Bear and all of FL4K’s pets have gotten a huge health increase of +50%. Zane’s Digi-Clone receives even more of a benefit, seeing its health double with a +100% increase! While it’s possible that these adjustments could be scaled back at a later date when those “long term solutions,” Gearbox mentions arrive, it should make things more viable for now.

In addition to the new Vault Hunter adjustments, Gearbox’s latest round of Borderlands 3 hotfixes also include several bug-fixes. For instance, a bug for the “Ratch’d Up” quest which caused Ratch to not spawn has been fixed. Additionally, the Pachinko machine now has a lower chance to drop weapons. Plus, in Cistern of Slaughter, Zane’s Digi-Clone will no longer spawn in the cage. Perhaps one of the most noticeable and welcome changes, however, has been made to Shield Boosters. Certain shields in Borderlands 3 will automatically drop these boosters when shot, allowing players to pick them up and recover some of their shields. From now on, you will now pick these up automatically, rather than manually. This could make such shields much more viable (and less irritating to use).
