This month, Sony gave PS Plus subscribers some real treats to enjoy for free. Right now, we’re playing MLB The Show 2019 and The Last of Us Remastered. But what will the free PlayStation Plus November 2019 games be? Let’s pause this month’s free games for a moment to think about what we could get to play next month for free.
1. Yesterday Origins
One upcoming video game release slated for November is Blacksad: Under the Skin. This game is an adaptation of the Blacksad Spanish comic series, and is developed by Pendulo Studios.
So maybe next month we will get to play another game from the same developer for free through PlayStation Plus. An option would be Yesterday Origins, which came out in 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows and OS X as a prequel and sequel to 2012 title Yesterday. This game will please those who enjoy point-and-click adventures.
2. Need for Speed Payback
It’s been a surprisingly long time since there has been a Need for Speed game featured through PS Plus for free. Back in 2012, Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed was free for PS3. A year later, Need for Speed: Most Wanted was free through the service.

One of the big releases slated for November 8th is Need for Speed: Heat, which will release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. So let’s hope Sony considers making another Need for Speed game free next month. A great choice would be Need for Speed Payback, which came out in November 2017.
3. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
The most anticipated release for November is certainly Death Stranding, which will come out on November 8th as a PS4 exclusive. It would make sense for Sony to give us a Hideo Kojima game to play for free next month to celebrate.
Sony has quite a history of offering Metal Gear Solid titles for free through PS Plus. These have included Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for Vita in 2013, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance for PS3 that same year, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for PS4 in 2015, Metal Gear Solid: The Phantom Pain for PS4 in 2017, and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots on PS3 in February of this year.
Since it has been a couple of years since Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was free through the service, that is our prediction for next month. We can hope, right?
4. Shenmue II
Shenmue III will be releasing on PC and PS4 on November 19th. So another game that would be good for Sony to make free through PS Plus next month would be Shenmue II. While this classic originally came out in 2001, a high-definition port of the game came to PS4, Xbox One and PC in August 2018. It’d be superb to get to play it for free before we play Shenmue III.
That wraps up our list of predictions for free PlayStation Plus November 2019 games. Check back in with us soon to find out whether any of our predictions come to pass. We’ll let you know when Sony releases the official list. In the meantime, have fun playing this month’s free games, and catch up with our PlayStation news.
