Gearbox Has Finally Brought Borderlands 2 VR to the PC

Borderlands 2 VR, the VR port of Borderlands 2, has finally come to PC VR headsets a month after its release date was announced by Gearbox. Until now, the VR port has only been available on PlayStation VR. Now, to mark the PC launch, Gearbox has released a new trailer for the game on YouTube. Borderlands 2 VR features all of the content included in the original game, including all of its DLC content.

Borderlands 2 VR is Now Available on PC

PC gamers can now purchase Borderlands 2 VR on Steam, which offers support for the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive headsets. The game is identical to the PS VR version, including the free BAMF DLC pack which launched for that platform earlier this year. In addition to VR mechanics for movement, etc., the game does feature a couple of new additions to help improve its VR experience. One of these is “Bad Ass Mega Fun Time,” which allows players to slow down time while playing.

All of the Vault Hunters from Borderlands 2, including both Krieg and Gaige, are available to play. However, one key difference between Borderlands 2 VR and the original game is that the VR version currently does not support multiplayer. Despite that disadvantage, players can otherwise play solo through the entire game. The game’s full PC specifications have now been released by Gearbox, and are available below.
