With the Bloody Harvest event now in full swing and the Borderlands 10-year anniversary celebration come to an end, Gearbox has seen fit to release a new trio of Borderlands 2 Gold Keys via SHiFT; one each for each of the older game’s platforms. These keys will only be valid for a few weeks, until the 18th of November. As such, be sure to use them ASAP, if you haven’t already.
The Latest Borderlands 2 Gold Keys
Since the release of Borderlands 3, Gearbox has been periodically releasing Gold Keys for both the new game and its predecessor via social media. The three new codes, which can be seen in Gearbox’s Tweet above, are also listed below, along with their associated platforms. Each one can be redeemed via SHiFT, as per usual.

While Gearbox has been frequently releasing new Borderlands 3 Gold Keys, it’s somewhat strange that the studio has also begun releasing Borderlands 2 Gold Keys. It’s possible that the older game has attracted a swathe of returning (or new) players following the release of Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary; a new Borderlands 2 DLC released just prior to Borderlands 3. After all, nostalgic gamers may have chosen now to revisit and replay the older game. If so, Gearbox would of course be privy to those active player numbers. It’s also worth noting that Gearbox brought Borderlands 2 VR to the PC just two weeks ago; a title which is likely to have attracted its own audience.
The latest SHiFT code for Borderlands 3 simply unlocked a set of new Halloween-themed Vault Hunter heads. However, players can no doubt expect more keys and new content coming throughout November, especially as the Bloody Harvest event continues. Certainly, in the latest episode of the Borderlands Show, they offered a teaser of Takedown at Maliwan’s Blacksite; an upcoming free content release.
