Huge New Apex Legends Leak Hints at Major Upcoming Update
Apex Legends leaks are, to be fair, nothing new. The game has had more than its fair share of leaks since its release, and while these do sometimes include content which never actually makes it to the game, some of it certainly has. Now, a new leak has emerged on Reddit courtesy of sradgirl555, and it might be the largest single leak which has ever occurred for the game.
What Does the New Apex Legends Leak Reveal?
As usual, the source of this leak comes from recent datamining in the game files of Apex Legends. Of course, there’s no guarantee that any of this content will actually come to the game; it could be simply a cache of abandoned concepts or cut content. However, the track record of leaks like this suggests that at least some of it could certainly be early versions of upcoming content. The content in question this time seems to be equipment, rather than new Legends, with an array of 19 new item renders appearing in leaked images.
These images include everything from a strange, spider-like creature, a “proximity detonator” for some sort of explosive, and even a “plasma turret”. Of course, it’s unknown if these items will be new items for players to find around the map, or whether they’ll be the tools of one or more upcoming Legends. Notably, the leak does include a series of melee weapons; something which don’t currently play a significant role in Apex Legends. Once again, however, it’s unclear if players will find these around the map, or whether they could be Legend-specific weapons.
For now, fans will have to wait and see. As with any leak like this, it should be taken with a pinch of salt. There’s a high likelihood that this content is still in development, assuming it’s not some cache of cut concepts, meaning that it may not be out for some time. However, leaks like these have correctly predicted Apex Legends content before; enough times that it cannot simply be dismissed out of hand.
