If Kingdom Hearts III is a game which interests you, but you aren’t sure you want to buy it, you’ll be excited to learn that a free demo is available. Square Enix announced the Kingdom Hearts III free demo during X019. It is not the full game. But, it should be enough of a sample to let you know whether the entire game is something you want to purchase.
What to Know About the Kingdom Hearts III Free Demo
The Kingdom Hearts III free demo is available to both PS4 and Xbox One gamers. You can download it from the PlayStation Store or the Microsoft Store. Two portions of the game are included. First, there is the opening segment. Next, there is the Toy Box segment, roughly half of it.
The official description for the game at the PlayStation Store reads:
“KINGDOM HEARTS III tells the story of the power of friendship as Sora and his friends embark on a perilous adventure. Set in a vast array of Disney worlds, KINGDOM HEARTS follows the journey of Sora, a young boy and unknowing heir to a spectacular power. Sora is joined by Donald Duck and Goofy, two emissaries sent by King Mickey from Disney Castle, to stop an evil force known as the Heartless from invading and overtaking the universe. Through the power of positivity and friendship, Sora, Donald and Goofy unite with iconic Disney-Pixar characters old and new to prevail tremendous challenges and persevere against the darkness threatening their worlds.”
So, if, after you play the demo, you decide you want to pay the entire game, you can purchase it in full. Watch for it to go on sale for Black Friday. Also, any progress you make from the opening segment of the demo will transfer to your full version of the game after you buy it.
