Borderlands 3: Release Date Information and Improvements We Want To See

All we know up until now about Gearbox’s Borderlands sequel is its possible release in 2019. However, we do not know the exact date it is going to come out but we do have some more information on this subject. Since it is the third installment in Borderlands franchise, we expect many improvements compared to the previous video games of the series.

Despite the fact that Borderlands 3 has being teased several times, there is not an official announcement for it by neither 2k Games nor Gearbox Software. Nevertheless, 2k Games has confirmed that they will release “a highly anticipated new title from one of its biggest franchises” by March 2019. Rumor has it that this statement is referring to Borderlands 3. This brings us to the things we are hoping to see improved in the game when and if it comes out.

First and foremost, we would like more weapons to be added to Borderlands 3. While the original idea was a system that puts together random weapon parts to create many different and unique weapons, it sometimes led to unnecessary and useless outcomes in the past games of the franchise. Therefore, it would be smarter to add more varied weapon parts, reducing the possibility of creating unwanted duplicates while increasing at the same time the different number of weapons you can create in the world.

Furthermore, a possible addition of several new classes would be a nice refreshment for the players and the game. Since the release of the first game of the series, there have been four classes. We can expect these to reappear in Borderlands 3. If Gearbox Software adds some classes to Borderlands’ current collection, it will make its gameplay more fun and interesting. Additionally, a possible return of the most popular characters from previous installments would be a good idea and would increase the excitement of the player’s adventure.

Last but not least, an important change in the game’s raids would be the introduction of raid levels of a much higher difficulty. Plenty of video games have added different difficulty curves to their raids for the player to be able to evolve and gain more experience after the end of the main storylines. Seeing more and varied raids with a range of difficulty levels could give players the ability to continue their adventure even after the end of the game.

Let’s hope we get a Borderlands 3 announcement soon and let’s be optimistic about the improvements we will get along with a new storyline that will continue this incredible franchise.
