World of Tanks Soccer 2018: New Stadium And Collection Cards
Wargaming is releasing the new World of Tanks Soccer Mode 2018 today. Along with some new tanks with special abilities, a new stadium and some special soccer-themed cards are included.
The soccer mode was first released back in 2016 in order to celebrate the soccer frenzy that was going on in France that summer, although this time it is back for the celebration of the competition among the biggest footballing nations around the globe. Then, players had the chance to play in the Lost Stadium. But now, they will get a brand new Lev Yashin Stadium and an upgraded Himmelstadium to have some more fun kicking the ball with their tanks.
Surprisingly, among the commentators will be a special guest, who will appear randomly and rarely while you are playing. This is no other than Gianluingi “Gigi” Buffon, who will be reporting from the sidelines as you are performing as professionally as he is.
The most exciting addition to the old Tank Soccer Mode is the chance you have to make your own collection of special soccer-themed cards in-game. You will be able to earn and acquire them in various different ways, such as through daily missions or simply by shopping the Premium Shop packages. There are thirty different cards in total varying in strength. There are twelve defenders, twelve midfielders and six strikers.
The concept is rather simple: You collect the cards, from which you receive players who will be placed on your own field in a tactical formation. Each of these 10 players will have a rating, and after making your formation, according to the overall rating of your cards, you will be able to earn different levels of rewards. Because there are ten cards for each category, after you acquire any one of them, they will be placed automatically in the corresponding slot. Every team you form has to be made of four defenders, four midfielders and two strikers, but you will be allowed to upgrade your team to get better rewards according to your team’s total rating.
The event ends on July 29 (04:20 PT, 06:20 CT, 07:20 ET), so start kicking some balls if you want to grow your collection and get as many rewards as you can until then.
