The climb towards superstardom continues for sophomore sensation Luka Doncic. As a new NBA 2K20 ratings update arrived, the Dallas Mavericks star found his number shooting up yet again. This time around, he’s become even closer to the level of three league MVPs including the NBA’s top superstar LeBron James.
Doncic surges again in NBA 2K20 ratings update
In our previous NBA 2K20 ratings update report, we mentioned how Luka Doncic surged and he’s done so once again in the ratings just revealed on December 6. Doncic moves up another three points to become a 96 overall rated player in the 2K20 game.
As mentioned by NBA 2K20 in their tweet, Doncic started off the season as an 87 and has since moved up nine points. It puts him ahead of cover star Anthony Davis (95), on par with recent NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, and just a point behind three of the other best players in the game today.
LeBron James is still considered at the top of the 2K20 ratings with a 97 overall rating. He’s joined by the league’s past two MVP Award winners Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden who each went up a point to join King James as 97s. Meanwhile, the aforementioned Kawhi Leonard has slid a bit, falling to a 96 overall as he plays for the third team in his career.
Whiteside, Melo among other big movers
Since returning to the league as a member of the Portland Trail Blazers, Carmelo Anthony has been in good form. He nabbed recent Player of the Week honors and has helped Portland remain competitive in the Western Conference. He also received a recent Moments Challenge in 2K20’s MyTeam mode.
In the NBA 2K20 ratings, he is one of the other players to have gone up by three points. Melo is now a 79 overall. Hassan Whiteside also jumped by three points to become an 84 OVR, as did Fred VanVleet (83 OVR). A total of 10 players made the three-point jump in the ratings as listed below:
- Luka Doncic 96 OVR
- Hassan Whiteside 84 OVR
- Fred VanVleet 83 OVR
- Carmelo Anthony 79 OVR
- James Ennis 78 OVR
- Norman Powell 77 OVR
- Tony Bradley 75 OVR
- Skal Labissiere 75 OVR
- Chris Clemons 73 OVR
- Abel Nader 73 OVR
In terms of slumping players, they include Kyle Kuzma, Draymond Green, and Blake Griffin. Kuzma slid three points down to a 78 overall, but the Lakers have been fine even as he’s slumped. Meanwhile, Green and Griffin are down two points each to become and 83, and 86 OVR, respectively.
Of those two, Draymond’s Warriors are a far cry from the team they used to be, but only due to being injury-plagued, so don’t count them out long.
