Following the end of a recent Battlefield 5 War in the Pacific video contest, DICE has launched right into a new one, giving five more winners the chance to get their hands on high-end NVIDIA GPUs. The new Battlefield 5 video contest is much the same as the last, and will be open to submissions until the 5th of January in 2020.
The Latest Battlefield 5 Video Contest
As with the last Battlefield 5 video contest, this latest contest focuses on War in the Pacific, the 5th chapter of Battlefield 5’s Tides of War. To enter, participants must create their own video in Battlefield 5 on one or more of the new War in the Pacific maps; Iwo Jima, Pacific Storm, and Wake Island. Participants simply need to upload their video to YouTube and then submit the YouTube link to the contest. Note that participants can only submit a single entry each, and the video cannot include 3rd party or copyrighted music. (The full Battlefield 5 soundtrack, however, is available to use via the official SoundCloud.) All videos must be at least 1080p resolution, and must be between 120-300 seconds in length.

As with previous Battlefield 5 video contests, this contest is being run in partnership with NVIDIA. Five winners, chosen by DICE’s judges, will win an NVIDA GeForce RTX 2080 TI Founder’s Edition video card; one of the most powerful and most expensive GPUs currently available from NVIDIA. The company has provided prizes for several of these contests already; presumably as a way to help promote features like ray tracing which featured heavily in pre-launch advertising for Battlefield 5. Indeed, NVIDIA has used Battlefield 5 footage in their tech demos in the past.
As stated above, participants need to submit their video entry by 23:59:00 PDT on the 5th of January, 2020. After that, a judging phase will last until the 25th of January, after which the winners should be announced relatively quickly.
