With the latest Madden 20 NFL 100 Challenges revealed on Friday night, it meant the conclusion of the program. Over the past six weeks, the NFL has revealed the 100 All-Time players from all positions. As a way to honor a number of these players, Madden Ultimate Team added them into the game with special Centennial cards. These have ratings of 94 or 95 overall. To get one required putting together a set of 25 Base cards for that week. However, you can get a free one without all the spending.
Play through the Madden 20 NFL 100 Challenges
As the players were announced each week, there were also new Madden 20 NFL 100 Challenges introduced in Ultimate Team. Gamers could play these to earn a Power Up for each of the players and then select a free 84 or 85 OVR Base card for one of the players that week.
However, if you play through all of these challenges for Week 1 through Week 6, you can earn a free NAT Centennial Fantasy Pack. Inside that pack is all of the 94-95 OVR NFL 100 players. You’ll get to choose one of those players to add to your Ultimate Team roster.
Below are the various players with challenges for each week of the promotion. Some weeks had two parts so there are seven or eight players.
- WK1: Running Backs – Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, Jim Brown, Eric Dickerson
- WK2: LB & Defensive Linemen – Lawrence Taylor, Bobby Bell, Alan Page, Deacon Jones, Willie Lanier, Mean Joe Greene, Reggie White
- WK3: DB & Special Teams – Deion Sanders, Ray Guy, Willie Brown, Devin Hester, Ed Reed, Rod Woodson, Adam Vinatieri, Ronnie Lott
- WK4: TE & Offensive Linemen – Tony Gonzalez, Larry Allen, Dwight Stephenson, Bruce Matthews, Jonathan Ogden, Anthony Munoz
- WK5: Wide Receivers – Randy Moss, Jerry Rice, Steve Largent, Larry Fitzgerald
- Week 6: Quarterbacks – Tom Brady, John Elway, Peyton Manning, Joe Montana
The challenges are typically quite easy and require achieving one or two things in a quarter or game. For example, you may have to rush for 50 yards and score a rushing touchdown. For a defensive challenge, you may have to record a certain number or user tackles or limit the CPU to no first downs.
As of Friday night, all of the challenges were still available. Many people in the gaming community believe they’ll remain active for the rest of the Madden season, so that should give plenty of time to play through them. There’s absolutely no reason to pass up on that free NAT 94 or 95 OVR player for your roster.
Which player should you choose?
So who should you choose for your free player? It comes down to what player will help your team most. If you’re running a certain theme such as the Cowboys or 49ers, you have a number of options available. However, some gamers may opt for a nice positional upgrade instead. An Erick Dickerson, Randy Moss, LT, or Deion are pure game-changers.
Madden gamer and YouTuber Zirksee provided a video on Dec. 22 going over all of the cards except for QBs. His top five picks for the free NAT player are Randy Moss, Deion Sanders, Lawrence Taylor, Eric Dickerson, and Jerry Rice. It seems hard to go wrong with any of those players for your Ultimate Team especially once you power them up and add abilities.
