A New Apex Legends Glitch Causes Octane to Jump Through Walls

Apex Legends is no stranger to game-breaking glitches and bugs, although most of the worst of these are usually addressed fairly quickly by Respawn. Wraith’s portals have been the subject of problems in the past, for instance. However, it seems that the latest Apex Legends glitch affects Octane; causing the Legend to unintentionally glitch through walls and other solid objects. Rather than giving Octane some sort of advantage, it’s leaving players trapped in map areas that aren’t meant to be accessible.

The Latest Apex Legends Glitch to Cause Trouble for Octane

It’s not currently clear exactly how this new Apex Legends glitch is triggered. However, an example of what it causes was uploaded to Reddit by user “Cantstopmhe”. In the video they posted, they tried to use Octane’s bionic legs, only to glitch through a roof and lose control. After triggering the glitch, they become unable to move properly, even after they escape the building. As a result, they weren’t able to control themselves, and were quickly eliminated by an enemy player.

Hopefully, Respawn gets reports of this bug and releases a fix in the game’s next patch. Generally, the studio has been fairly quick to address problems like this; after all, bugs like this could severely impact somebody’s performance in ranked play if they trigger at the wrong moment. Particularly with the Apex Legends Global Series coming up, Respawn should be fixing these glitches as fast as they can. Plus, given that the game won Best Multiplayer Game at The Game Awards, there are likely plenty of new players giving it a try right now. Glitches such as this aren’t exactly good for first impressions.

Fortunately, players may be able to track the progress of any fix for this bug via the game’s Trello board, which updates frequently. Otherwise, players will have to peruse the next set of patch notes to see if a fix was included. It’s not currently known when the next major update will release. However, there is likely to be one in early 2020.
