Did you try to make a digital purchase recently at the Xbox store, only to find that it was impossible to complete your purchase? There was in fact a problem that was stopping digital purchases, so it wasn’t just you that was affected. But the good news is that Microsoft now reports that the issue is fixed.
The Problem That Was Stopping Digital Purchases Is Now Resolved
After users reported the problem with digital purchases, Xbox Support tweeted, “We’re aware that some users are having an issue purchasing games, media, and subscriptions. Our teams are aware and looking into this. We will update you here but in the meantime, you can find updates on our status page.”

Those who have waited patiently (or impatiently) have now been rewarded with a new announcement from Xbox Support:
The text reads, “We’ve just received word that users should be able to complete purchases again. We appreciate your reports. We’re here & we’re listening.”
So, if you want to make a digital purchase from the Microsoft Store, you can now do so again without any hassles. Of course, it is possible that new problems could crop up in the future. So, if you do run into any snags, be sure and report them to the Xbox Support team. As has now been demonstrated, the team is on top of things and is swift to tackle issues with digital purchases. But you may want to not go overboard. Think about saving some of your money for the holiday season, because analysts are currently predicting that both the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are going to carry a “high price point.” So, if you have plans to buy either console, the sooner you start saving up, the better. If you want to save money while enjoying fresh games regularly in the meantime, consider an Xbox Game Pass
