Gearbox Announces Borderlands 3 Photo Mode Contest Winners

Back in October 2019, and shortly after the launch of the Borderlands 3 Photo Mode, Gearbox launched a contest for fans to take the best photos with the new mode. While various prizes were up for grabs, the grand prize included being able to visit Gearbox’s studio in Texas. Now, at last, the studio has announced the winners of the contest, as well as revealing their winning entries.

“These Photo Mode masterpieces were chosen based on composition, creativity, and chaos,” explains Gearbox; “with the winners earning bundles of Borderlands 3 swag. A special congratulations goes to our Grand Prize Winner @jmontelongo746, who won a trip to Gearbox HQ in Texas to meet with the dev team in addition to some premium Borderlands 3 goodies.”

Overall, there were three tiers of winners; a single Grand Prize winner, 3 Elite Swag Pack winners, and 6 Swag Pack winners. Twitter users @harv052, @Th3Extreme, and @charredbook took the Elite prize places. Meanwhile, the third tier of prizes went to users @Brokenvegetable, @jtip90gaming, @Lady_SnipeShot, @m00se54, @MYBLOODMP4, and @Skeltonator.

Fans of Borderlands 3 have plenty to look forward to in 2020. While the first story DLC, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, launched back in December, there are three more DLC expansions coming later this year. Additionally, more free Takedowns are reportedly on the way. While the recent Takedown event may have been delayed, it’s still likely to launch later this month. Of course, alongside DLC and free content updates, Gearbox is also likely to run more free events like Bloody Harvest. Additionally, fans of the game’s music can now stream or download the soundtrack from the new DLC, which launched online yesterday.
