Twitch hands out plenty of bans, but the latest suspension against a streamer called “quqco” sure seems ridiculous. In fact, judging by the images of the streamer dressed in her Chun-Li cosplay garb, we can’t figure out why Twitch brought down the ban hammer.
Here is the Chun-Li Cosplay That Got Streamer Quqco Banned
You can view the cosplay below which resulted in a ban against quqco:
We sure aren’t seeing anything inappropriate here. Are we looking at it wrong? All we’re seeing here is a streamer dressed up as Chun-Li. Are we meant to be offended that we can see her thighs? Last I checked, there is nothing exposed here that can’t be exposed on a public beach.
The streamer posted the following tweet:
The text reads, “I just got banned again for wearing a Chun Li cosplay. I am fully covered. I don’t understand @TwitchSupport @twitch how is this sexually suggestive content?”
While the suspension only will last for three days, the site also issued a Community Guidelines strike against her account. Previously, she was given a suspension when in August, her underwear were visible during a stream. At the time, she said she believed that a bunch of Reddit users ganged up to get her banned. So maybe that happened again this time, and Twitch issued the ban automatically in response to a slew of complaints.
Either way, these Chun-Li cosplay images sure don’t seem ban-worthy. So, hopefully Twitch will review the suspension and consider putting quqco back in the clear with her account. In the meantime, if you are a Twitch streamer, it seems like you should be extra mindful of the Community Guidelines—and also try not to build to much of a following of trolls on Reddit.
