The first 2020 content update for Call of Duty: Mobile has arrived, and with it comes both a new game mode, and a brand-new Scorestreak. Series fans may well be familiar with Prop Hunt from its iterations in previous Call of Duty titles, but whatever the case, the mode is only available for a limited time! As such, players will need to check it out sooner rather than later. The new Scorestreak, however, is here to stay.
Call of Duty: Mobile Prop Hunt and the MQ-27 Dragonfire
The first new addition for 2020 is, of course, the Call of Duty: Mobile Prop Hunt game mode, which is now available to play on Standoff. This nonstandard mode lets players become random objects and hide around the map, while the opposing team have to try and hunt them down. Although the mode is only available for a limited time, it hasn’t been announced yet when it will be going away. As such, players who want to give it a try should do so ASAP.

However, there is also a new addition which is permanent; that of the MQ-27 Dragonfire. This new Scorestreak is a form of combat drone which first appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Players will need to earn it by completing challenges but otherwise it’s now available to use in-game. This is the first new Scorestreak to come to the game in quite a while, but it also reflects the development team’s design approach; repurposing things which have featured in past Call of Duty titles. As such, any future Scorestreaks are also likely to be ones which appeared in previous games.
Elsewhere, there are a few other changes arriving in Call of Duty: Mobile as part of this content update. The game’s Battle Royale mode, for example, now has a limited time ‘Snipers Only’ mode. This mode features only pistols and sniper rifles, but with a few other twists. The mode has a firm 10-minute time limit, for example, while it also features periodic air drops of the powerful Arctic .50 sniper rifle.
