Lovecraftian Game Moons of Madness Won’t Release Until March

For fans of HP Lovecraft’s brilliant works, few things can compete with the excitement of a forthcoming Lovecraft-themed video game. Moons of Madness, a game developed by Rocket Pocket Games and published by Funcom, is currently out on PC. But the release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One has been delayed.

Moons of Madness Has Been Delayed Until March

An official tweet announced the delay in release on console:

The text reads, “It’s with a heavy heart that we have to announce that the console release of Moons of Madness has been moved to March 24, 2020.

This is so we have more time to optimize the game for consoles. We understand and apologize for the frustrations this may cause.”

Also, if you are not familiar with Moons of Madness, it will take you to Mars to a research outpost called Invictus to investigate a strange signal. The official description reads:

“You are Shane Newehart, a technician stationed at the Invictus and your security clearance means you are completely unaware of the existence of the mysterious signal. Your job is simply to keep the lights on until the transport ship Cyrano arrives bringing with it a new team to take over your duties. Soon you discover strange and unusual setbacks. Crucial systems are malfunctioning, the greenhouse is filled with a strange mist and the rest of your team has yet to return from their EVA mission. Things are starting to fall apart. You begin seeing and hearing things that aren’t there. Visions, hallucinations – or is that even what it is? Is this real… or are you slowly descending into madness?”

So, if you are waiting for Moons of Madness on Xbox One or PS4, mark your calendar for March 24th. While the delay is frustrating, it will be worth it if it means that the game will play better on your platform. Before long, the wait will be over, and you will be exploring the mysteries and horrors of Mars.
