David Jaffe, Creator of God of War, Believes PS5 Reveal Will Take Place Within 4 Weeks

Just how soon will the PS5 reveal be? Considering that we’re over halfway through January and it is 2020, the year that the PS5 will release, it can’t be far away now. There are rumors flying that it will happen in February, which does seem logical. Now, David Jaffe, creator of God of War, has added fuel to this rumor.

What David Jaffe Says About a PS5 Reveal Coming Soon

David Jaffe talked about the possibility of an upcoming PS5 reveal in a recent tweet:

He said, “PS5 reveal is less than 4 weeks away. Sony knows hard core gamers are hanging on every scrap of info and know that just cause MSFT dominates the conversation at the moment, that’s an easy thing to change when they are ready to reveal (assuming the reveal is good).”

He also added in a reply, “I want to say it’s the worst kept secret in games right now. February reveal like they did for PS4.”

Unlike most people who post these types of rumors—especially declared with such confidence—Jaffe has not attempted to pass off rumor as truth.

Also, in this tweet, he said, “If I had company secrets (I don’t), I wouldn’t spill them. I’m just going off the rumors I’m hearing online+history. This is not news. Thx.”

Hopefully, we are restrained enough with our wording in our title not to trouble Jaffe. Actually, we think his attitude here is super refreshing. It is nice to see someone simply sharing their thoughts, not trying to make a desperate grab at attention via any means possible. So, just to iterate, nobody knows when the PS5 reveal will take place yet. But Jaffe seems on target with his guess, and we agree with him. February seems more than likely.
