Remember The Order 1886? This game, which released in 2015, received good, mediocre and bad reviews. But on the whole, it was widely considered a disappointment. Nonetheless, the game’s amazing atmosphere along with some of its other features made it memorable, and left some gamers wanting either a remake or a sequel. Now, they may get their wish. Rumors are circulating that The Order 1886 sequel is on the way.
Why The Order 1886 Sequel May Be Forthcoming
The reason that gamers now think there may be a sequel to The Order 1886 is because of this thread on NeoGAF. User OsirisBlack described a sequence from a supposed upcoming game for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. He then writes, “Lets see if anyone else can get this detailed. It is the best looking anything that I have ever seen and the character models lighting and physics are on another level. The main character is impossible to confuse with anyone else and this game has not been revealed but I have hinted at it several times. This is not a cut scene or a render target it is actual game play and it is very impressive. Well the end is a cut scene but man ….. You literally cannot tell the difference and Yes.”
How likely is this rumor to be correct? Honestly, at this point, we wouldn’t put a lot of stock in this. But it isn’t outside the realm of possibility at all. We just would need something a little more solid to go off of before we are ready to declare that The Order 1886 sequel does in fact exist.
