As part of the PlayStation Player Celebration event, Sony released a couple of brand new special themes for PlayStation 4. If you like these themes but didn’t want to work for them, you will be excited to find out that currently, Sony is giving away the new special themes for PS4 for free.
What to Know About the New Special Themes for PS4 for Free
If you are not familiar with the PlayStation Player Celebration, it is a rewards event. Once you sign up for it, all you need to do to earn rewards is play games for trophies. As you might guess, the new special themes were originally intended as trophy rewards. Then this tweet showed up:
Supposedly, you can get both of the themes, one static, one dynamic, for free if you go to download them right now. But the link in the tweet currently leads to an empty page. So either the themes are no longer free, or Sony moved them.
Apparently some players also have found the listing for the themes, but have only been able to add them to their wishlists rather than download them.
If you do manage to find the current links to the themes (we’ve checked other links which now lead nowhere as well), you probably will want to download the themes right away if you can. Sony may never have meant to make the themes free in the first place. If that is the case, it would certainly explain why a lot of the links people shared previously now lead to empty pages.
If you don’t find the links to get the themes for free, then you will want to sign up for the PlayStation Player Celebration event and start gaming toward these and other rewards.
