Call of Duty: Warzone, which was officially announced earlier today, will be launching tomorrow as a free-to-play battle royale game attached to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. However, while it may share plenty of content with Modern Warfare, there will be some new additions. Notably, the game will feature five different types of vehicles, including some that don’t appear in Modern Warfare already.
The Five Call of Duty: Warzone Vehicle Types
Given the vast size of the Call of Duty: Warzone Verdansk map, players are going to want vehicles in order to get anywhere quickly. Fortunately, there will be a varied selection on offer, including both land-based vehicles and aircraft. According to Activision, every vehicle in Warzone will feature its own health meter. At zero, the vehicle will explode, with obviously fatal consequences for anybody who didn’t bail out.
Activision has revealed that there will be five different types of Call of Duty: Warzone vehicles. The first of these is the ATV, the lightest option, which boasts good speed and good offroading capabilities. Of course, it does only seat two, and it’s not exactly the most protective option. The Tactical Rover or SUV, on the other hand, could be better picks for a squad on the move. Both of these vehicle types are four-seaters, however, while the Tactical Rover is fast and good off-road, the SUV has only moderate speed and doesn’t cope well on rough terrain. What the SUV does offer, however, is protection; the Tactical Rover doesn’t offer much in the way of cover, while the SUV does.
The largest land-based vehicle type is the Cargo Truck. The largest and slowest vehicle, a Cargo Truck can apparently seat a full squad; “plus equipment,” and it offers the best protection of any vehicle too. Of course, it might also be an easy and obvious target. The only aircraft vehicle type is the Helicopter, which can seat four people. While flight is a significant advantage, being airborne could make the helicopter vulnerable to anti-air fire. At present, it’s not clear whether these five vehicle types are all the same within each category, or whether there will be different types of SUV, for example. Players will have to discover that for themselves when the game launches tomorrow.
