Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s second season has already seen two new Operators join the game; first Ghost and then Mace. Now, Infinity Ward is releasing a third new Modern Warfare Operator, Talon, who actually features his own canine companion – Indiana. The Canadian Operator is the latest new member of the Coalition.
Talon (and Indiana): The New Modern Warfare Operator
While Ghost, the first new Modern Warfare Operator of Season 2, was available via the season’s Battle Pass, Talon is acquired in the same manner as Mace; players must purchase the new “Talon Operator” Store bundle if they want to play as the Canadian Operator. Like other Operators, he has a unique backstory, dialogue, skins, and other cosmetic options.
According to Infinity Ward, Talon is a member of Warcom, the same organisation which Domino, Golem, Mara, and Wyatt are from. He was formerly a member of the Canadian Special Forces. “Raised by a blended First Nation family in Ontario,” explains Infinity Ward; “Recommended to Warcom after serving with Griggs in Urzikstan. Earned commendations in daring midnight raid of an AQ encampment.”
Talon is the twelfth Coalition Operator to come to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. However, given that Infinity Ward has begun to add new Operators more frequently in Season 2, it’s likely that both the Allegiance and Coalition rosters will have expanded significantly within the next few months. It’s unknown if Talon is the last new Operator planned for Season 2. However, it’s possible that a corresponding addition to the Allegiance roster is on the way before the season ends. Given the enormous interest in Call of Duty: Warzone since its launch earlier this month, which has likely expanded Modern Warfare’s audience somewhat, it’s also possible that Infinity Ward will start producing more Operators in order to incentivise players to invest in Store bundles. (As all Operators are usable in Warzone.)
