The anticipation is continuing to build as Super Mega Baseball 3 release date should be within the next month. Ahead of that release of the third installment in the series, they’ve released a first reveal video for the game. The new Super Mega Baseball 3 overview trailer is called “The Big Picture.” It should help gamers decide if the title will fit into their rotations. Based on the options the game provides, it seems like it will for many sports sim enthusiasts.
New Super Mega Baseball 3 video gives an overview of new game
The Super Mega Baseball 3 overview trailer checks in at a bit over two minutes and includes narration from Scott at developer Metalhead Software. Through the first reveal video, he gives gamers an indication of what they can expect when the game arrives.
Most importantly are the options based on how much time gamers want to spend. These include just hitting home runs, playing casual games against friends or other people online, or engaging in 250-plus hours of a customized league and season.
Over-the-top animations, sacrifice bunts, proper defensive positioning, and even the drop third strike rule will all be a part of SMB3. It also includes a vast customization suite. That allows for customizing teams, leagues, and of course players. The player editor allows gamers to craft the types of players they want to have in the game. That’s all on display as part of the overview.

By the way, Scott of Metalhead also mentions that future reveal videos will be on the way. Those will cover how the game’s features and options have changed from Super Mega Baseball 2 to SMB3. So stay tuned for the arrival of those in the coming days and weeks leading up to the game’s release.
SMB3 release date, cost, and platform details
Just a few weeks ago, Metalhead provided fans with the exciting Super Mega Baseball 3 announce trailer. That gave a look at what was on the way and some details including general release date time frame and the game’s price.
The game will arrive at some point in April, although Metalhead has yet to provide an official release date. However, it is known that the game will cost $44.99. That gives it a lower price than the standard version cost of other popular sports games these days.
The new game is expected to arrive for all the platforms the previous edition did. Those are the Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows systems. That already puts it ahead of other baseball titles such as MLB The Show which is available to only PlayStation gamers, for now. There’s even cross-platform play available in SMB3’s Pennant Mode.
One other thing that will make it worthy of gamers’ attention is the removal of in-game purchases. It’s something other sports games thrive on, but SMB3 will have everything as part of the original cost. Seems like a potential home run for fans of fun, customizable baseball minus the extra expenses.
