At last, Infinity Ward has revealed the third new Modern Warfare weapon which is coming to the game as part of Season 3. The first two, which were the Renetti Handgun and the SKS Marksman Rifle, launched at the start of the season. Both were available to unlock in the free tiers of the Season 3 Battle Pass. The all-new MK9 Bruen LMG, however, can be unlocked in one of two different ways.
The Newest Modern Warfare Weapon: The MK9 Bruen LMG
The MK9 Bruen LMG is the newest addition to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare arsenal – and by extension, the arsenal of Call of Duty: Warzone. This new machine gun boasts; “high accuracy and reliable damage,” according to Infinity Ward. To unlock it, you’ll need to either complete a specific new challenge in the Weapons menu; go to the LMG tab and look for ‘LMG Foxtrot’ to find the details of this new challenge.
Alternatively, if you want to access to the new weapon straight away, there is another option. By purchasing the new ‘Encryption’ bundle in the in-game store you’ll get a Legendary blueprint for the Bruen called ‘The Glitch’. Featuring 60-round magazines, a Skeleton Stock, a Cronen LP945 Mini Reflex Optic, Granulated Grip Tape, and a Bruen 18.0″ Para Barrel, the Glitch is a fearsome and highly mobile LMG. Its attachments give it boosts to Control, Accuracy, and Mobility, while penalising Range very slightly.
Although there may be more powerful machine guns in its class, the MK9 Bruen does boast impressive accuracy for such a large weapon. As such, players may find it an especially deadly new tool. If you tend to avoid machine guns because of their inaccuracy or lack of control, it might be worth trying the Bruen out; this new firearm may prove a better fit for your playstyle than other machine guns.
