MLB The Show 20 Headliners Set 24 Packs, New Battle Royal Flawless Rewards Diamonds Arrive
It’s a busy week full of content for MLB The Show 20. We already showed details today about the upcoming Ducks on the Pond packs with some of the Diamond players that may be inside. In addition to those new players, three other new Diamond players became available on Tuesday in different content. There’s a new featured player in MLB The Show 20 Headliners Set 24 packs, as well as two brand new Battle Royal Flawless Rewards players.
MLB The Show 20 Headliners Set 24 features Jake McGee
While the upcoming Ducks on the Pond packs will cost a whopping 35,000 Stubs, the MLB The Show 20 Headliners Set 24 are much more reasonable. These go for 7,500 MLB Stubs each, with a limit of five packs available per account or customer.
The featured star for the newest edition of these packs is Tampa Bay Rays closing pitcher Jake McGee. He gets a 95 overall Diamond with a three-pitch repertoire including 98 mph 4-Seam Fastball, 87 mph Slider, and 78 mph Curveball. Top attributes for the leftie include 115 K over nine, 109 Hits over nine, 96 Pitch Control, 89 Control, 92 Velocity, and 81 Arm Strength.
McGee is already up on the Community Market for players to acquire. His price is between 51,000 and 55,000 MLB The Show Stubs as of this report.
Speaking of Stubs, MLB The Show revealed on their frontpage schedule that a new Stubs sale arrives at 12 a.m. Pacific Time (3 a.m. Eastern Time) on Friday, so some may want to wait if they’re buying.
New Battle Royal Flawless Rewards include Machado, Parker
The MLB The Show 20 Headliners Set 24 brought one Diamond player, while Battle Royale Flawless Rewards brings two. They are former slugger Dave Parker and current slugger Manny Machado. These two players are now part of the available rewards in the online competitive mode.
Basically, you get a drafted squad of players, then the system finds an opponent on your competitive level for a game. You’ll play in a three inning game with prizes on the line. Even a loss wins a prize.
The new Dave Parker brings Diamond Hitting and Fielding with a 97 overall card for the rightfielder. Parker is going for 230,000 to 300,000 Stubs on the Market right now.
Manny Machado is the winner of the two based on Market prices. He brings Diamond Hitting and Fielding as well. However, his card is going for considerably more with Market prices at 350,000 to 650,000 for the former Baltimore Orioles third baseman.
