Sony usually announces the free games for the next month on the last Wednesday of the current month. So, we would expect the July 2020 free games announcement on Wednesday, June 24th.

Now let’s jump into the predictions for the July 2020 free games through PS Plus. Since one of the games which is coming out early in July is Marvel’s Iron Man VR, maybe Sony will make another Marvel game free next month. One possibility is Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, an action RPG which initially released for PS3 and PS2 back in 2006. It was ported in 2016 to PS4, and has never been free through PS Plus.
Our next prediction is The Long Dark. This first-person survival game developed by Hinterland Studio came out in 2017. The game is described officially as a “thoughtful, exploration-survival experience that challenges solo players to think for themselves as they explore an expansive frozen wilderness in the aftermath of a geomagnetic disaster. There are no zombies — only you, the cold, and all the threats Mother Nature can muster.”
Next, we predict we may get to play a racing game for free next month since both NASCAR Heat 5 and F1 2020 are coming out next month. One possibility is 2017’s Need for Speed Payback.
Finally, the biggest release slated for July is the PS4 exclusive Ghost of Tsushima. Perhaps another samurai-themed game would be good to offer for free next month. Our pick is Samurai Warriors 4 from 2014. When it came out, this game received the highest ratings of any title from the series.
